Key terms
- Orthopedic mattress
- A mattress designed to keep the spine straight with a firm, even support core; it describes the design, not a material.
- Hard/soft ratio
- SleepUp's way of stating firmness: the Ortho Plus is 70% hard / 30% soft, the Knight 40% hard / 60% soft.
- Memory foam
- Foam that softens with body heat and moulds to your shape, used as a top layer for pressure relief (as in the Ortho Lite).
- Pocket springs
- Individually wrapped springs that move independently, so one person's movement is barely felt by the other (as in the Knight).
- Factory-direct
- Sold straight from the factory that makes it, with no distributor or showroom margin in the price.
- 100-night trial
- Sleep on a standard-size SleepUp mattress for 100 nights from delivery, then return or exchange it if it is not right.
